Last week sickness came into our home-uggh. Lola and I were so sick and basically quarantined to our home for five days. I was sure we might be dying . By some sort of huge miracle Tahoe did not get sick. I am not quite sure how that works because he was sleeping with us and cleaning up after Lola, too. He is one lucky guy that's all I can say. We are all healthy now, and I am so thankful!
I enrolled Lola in Mommy and Me swim lessons we've been to 4 lessons so far and have 2 left; they are a half hour once a week. We are having so much fun!!! Lola blows bubbles, kicks, we sing songs, play games and her favorite thing to do is stand on the side of the pool and jump in. They ask that only one person come with your baby to the lessons so as not to distract the babies from what they're doing. There are a couple a parents who don't like that rule so both come anyway and nobody's really fussing about it; so one of these last two lessons we're gonna try to get Tahoe to stop by so he can see how brave and talented ;) his daughter is.
Tahoe has been pulling some very long hours and some nights doesn't get home until after Lola is in bed. But that's what happens when you work for yourself; we try to remain positive and thankful for the work that he has especially since we don't know what this winter will bring. The last few mornings Lola has decided she should be up at 6:30 in the morning to hang out with her Daddy before he leaves for work. So for about 20 minutes she follows him around, cuddles with him and has nothing to do with me. Then we hold eachother and wave good-bye to Daddy as he leaves. The idea of sleeping in and staying in my warm bed is very appealing at such an early hour; but pales in comparison to what is waiting for me in other parts of my home. I truly cherish these early mornings with my family. We are blessed to have a husband and father who has such a strong work ethic and is a good provider -we miss him terribly when he is gone and occasionally daydream about what it would be like to be independently wealthy and have him with us all day every day.
